Booking and paying
The booking is confirmed once the customer has paid a deposit, by the due date, amounting to 25 % of the total rent, or if the whole rent is paid at once. The remainder of the rent must be paid 4-weeks before you arrive. If the reservation is made 5 weeks before arrival, or less, no deposit is paid.
Cancellation of booking
We wish to receive cancellations in writing, as soon as an obstacle arises. A cancellation fee of 25% will be charged. If the cancellation takes place 14-days before the arrival date, or later, we will charge the whole rental sum. If the reason for the cancellation is a sudden illness (we will request a doctors note), the rent will be returned minus a 25% cancellation fee. If you cancel during your stay, no refund will be granted.
Cancellation by Könnölä
In the event of force majeur, we reserve the right to cancel the booking and the customer will be fully refunded.
Staying at the location
Keys to the cabin will be handed over to the customer on the pre-arranged day of arrival. The cabin is at the customer’s disposal from 16.00 on the day of arrival until 12.00 on the day of departure. With weekend reservations, the cabin is available from 15.00 on Friday afternoon until 15.00 on Sunday afternoon.
The rent includes the use of the cabin and its amenities (furniture, crockery, electricity, firewood, rowing boat and VAT). Mattresses, quilts and pillows are also inclusive. However, bedding, towels and cleaning are subject to a charge. If the cabin requires cleaning after the rental period is up, there will be a charge of 90 – 130€. The cabin may only be used by the amount of people each cabin accommodates. The use of tents or camper vans on our premises is forbidden, without prior consent from the owner.
Compensation for damages
The customer is required to compensate for any damage to the cabin or other property.
